Having had releases on various UK labels (3 Beat Breaks, CP, Plastic) over the last couple of years, Turkish producer Ozgur Can has been quietly building a reputation for himself as a producer of quality, forward thinking electronic music. For his debut on Precinct, Ozgur pushes his sound one step further; the drums have got more jerky, the bass more electronic, the melodies more abstract.
With the rise of producers of the calibre of Ozgur, Nathan Fake, Petter, MFA, Kosmas Epsilon and James Holden, so called 'progressive' house is breaking free from many of the narrowly defined parameters that have constrained it for years; 'the Reclaim Ep' is borne out of that freedom.
