Columbian born, Guatemala dwelling producer Santiago de Niño has been making electronic music since the tender age of sixteen, whilst his earlier leanings were toward the harder end of the spectrum, the last year or so has seen him start to plough a less frenetic, more sophisticated furrow, with releases on some of the worlds better progressive house labels now imminent.
But that youthful techno-inspired rush is still to be found in his work, most notably here with the three track 'Big Risk EP'. Both 'Circuit' and title track 'Big Risk' are tough dancefloor workouts combining heavy loops and wobbly synths, leaving 'Late Night Call' to wind things down via a tripped out, electronica inspired B2.
